Each year nearly 2 million people in the UK suffer some form of domestic abuse - around one third of those who suffer are men.

If you are experiencing abuse you are not alone.

The M6:8 Project exists to help, support and educate anyone who has or could be vulnerable to

domestic abuse.

OUR SERVICES

Please be advised that this project provides support for residence in the London Boroughs of Enfield and Hackney

or for any victim of Domestic abuse moving into these boroughs. 

TRAINING

  • Domestic abuse awareness

  • Coercive behaviour – spotting the signs

  • Breaking cycles

  • Awareness

  • 24 hr support line

  • Moral support when reporting crimes and going to trial 

  • Signposting – Foodbank, Social services

  • Counseling

  • Advice and guidance in issues relating to Domestic abuse

  • Liaising between multiple agencies in regards to your case

PRACTICAL HELP

  • Emergency accommodation whilst awaiting a refuge place

  • Clothing and footwear including school uniform 

  • White Goods dependent on borough

  • Furniture and bedding 

  • Transport to a safe place 

  • Transportation from current accommodation to new accommodation with your belongings  

  • Emergency food in moments of crisis

  • Accompanying to court

1 in 5 women have experienced sexual violence from a current or previous partner from the age of 15.

1 man per month is killed by a current or previous partner.
